Hi All, Just to keep people in the loop I tried both Ubuntu 10.04 and 9.10 and rivet will not now get past the autoreconf stage without complaining about the errors I posted in my last message. I tired installing different version of automake and all sorts but came up short.
The work around was to install 8.04 LTS version of ubuntu server. I am not sure where the problem exactly lies but I think with a bit more time and investigation there should be a solution to it be that from ubuntu or rivet. I hasten to add this is a recently introduced issue from ubuntu as a week or so ago is worked fine. I tried to report a bug but do not have enough knowledge to backup what the problem is. I am also putting together an idiots guild to getting rivet running. Is there somewhere that I can host this on-line for other rivet beginners?
