I downloaded the recently released 2.4.1 version of Apache and compiled
Rivet with it. I didn't expect problems in building and running Rivet
with the new 2.4 branch, provided 'prefork' was selected as mpm. I just
tested if one of my Rivet based applications ran without outstanding
problems. I haven't fired the regression tests yet.

I noticed no relevant problems so far.

A few issues are now open with Apache 2.4. Most notably, the new run
time mpm selection mechanism requires Rivet to be aware of the
environment it runs with and in case it should refuse to register its
handlers with the core if an mpm different from 'prefork' is loaded.
