I prepared at http://www.rivetweb.org/~mxm/rivet/ a first release
candidate for rivet 2.3.0.
rivet 2.3.0 will be the last series of 2.x modules, being the code
currently under development in trunk labeled 3.0.0
The transition from 2.2.x to 2.3.x was dictated by the changes done to
the mod_rivet initialization script rivet/init.tcl.in which provides
package Rivet x.y, where x.y is the module current version expunged of
the patch level number.
Furthermore this artifact ships the new ::rivet::try command that should
mimic the core language [try] command except for trapping the child
exit, ::rivet::abort_page (and therefore also ::rivet::redirect)
preventing the interpreter to catch exceptions raised by these commands.
As such this release should be fully working only with Tcl 8.6
