I've been following this thread on Tclcore https://code.activestate.com/lists/tcl-core/18042/
Although the thread apparently was the source of grievance for the person who originally came forward with a new documentation engine proposal, this stimulated me to reconsider to move our current documentation based on DocBook to some more manageable engine (perhaps markdown based?)
On the thread several alternatives were proposed and there are a few interesting references to several solutions
