svn to git transition upgrade.

After 12+ hours of uninterrupted data churning, reading the message lines on the terminal I can tell the procedure has reached the commits I did in late 2010 . There are cases (i.e. branches and tags) that make svn2git scan deep into the repository history in order to get data straight and fit for the the git model. This is what I can make out reading through the informational messages

I'm in the process of importing the whole history of rivet into the newly created git repository. I had a few issue to deal with but the import seems to be taking place though slowly and painstakingly.

Just in case someone was considering to commit something to the svn repository: *don't do it*. As soon as the import has finished the new primary collaboration tool will be *git* and the svn repo will be made read-only by the infrastructure guys.
