I totally agree :-) Also there are some that are in 'white' - hence
there is white on white text. Not a good idea for desktops; okay for
server consoles (which are usually black).

Next release has a second colour set option, so that should help. Green
appears as a dark green, yellow is a sort of purple/mauve, the red is
not so bold (so stands out better).

For the moment though, as already suggested, you may have to use the
--nocolors option.
