I appreciate the offer. I went to look at the log, and as I had run rkhunter -V and rkhunter --update this morning, last nights log from the cron run was lost. I just ran /root/rkhunter.sh -c --cronjob from shell and it seemed to run fine. No grep error in the output to screen and nothing unusual looking in the log. I've saved both to compare with if the grep error returns in tonight's cronjob.
