That's odd. I just created a ~/.netrc as root and with RKH version 
1.3.4 I didn't get any displayed or logged warnings nor the 
contents of netrc during --check, --versioncheck or --update. If 
you are running the current version and want to pursue this, please 
open a ticket in our bug tracker on Sourceforge and attach a debug 
log. Thanks in advance.
