Hi, Since going to rkhunter 1.3.6, I get this on most of my el5 servers:
Warning: Application 'named', version '9.3.6-P1', is out of date, and possibly a security risk. Problem is, when I try to whitelist it with a line like: APP_WHITELIST="httpd:2.2.3 named:9.3.6 php:5.1.6 sshd:4.3p2 named:9.3.6-P1 openssl:0.9.8e" On each rkhunter cron run, it keeps presenting me with the same warning? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or why rkhunter seems to be ignoring the whitelisted named entry? Thanks.
