In the rkhunter.conf file it says to burn the rkhunter.dat to a CD and link to it.
So I burned the CD, mounted the CD, and made a link from the /var/lib/rkhunter/db directory to the /mnt directory. When I run rkhunter it complains: "The rkhunter.dat file is a symbolic link: /var/lib/rkhunter/db/rkhunter.dat This is a security problem. The link points to another file, and that file may be modified by rkhunter." I'd like to use the CD. Do I just comment out line #14634 in /usr/bin/rkhunter and rock on? Will that work? Or is there a reason that I should not run rkhunter.dat from a CD as the .conf suggests?
