hi

re boonana

I don't use a mac and the mention of linux appears to be very
unspecific as seen here in quote
"Another security vendor has verified that the Boonana malware is
capable of infecting Linux machines, and will proceed to join a botnet
once installed. The malware also affects Mac OS X and Microsoft
Windows." source =

http://www.securemac.com/boonana-b-bulletin.php

also "Clicking the link to install the special software will execute a
Java applet which works equally well on either Windows or Mac OS
X--and ESET has confirmed it also works on Linux systems" source =

http://www.computerworld.com.au/article/366588/in-depth_look_boonana_malware/

I have attempted to google eset's finding and so far found only
this...for linux a glogger at eset

"If the trick works, the Java applet runs happily on Windows or OS X:
we can also confirm that it runs on Linux"

http://blog.eset.com/2010/10/31/boonana-threat-analysis

-----I am wondering if that blog which has a link to another blog which is here
http://blog.eset.com/2010/10/27/your-computer-won%E2%80%99t-protect-you

mentions "It turns out that it also attacks Windows and Linux users as well"
with no evidence was taken up as FACT by the computerworld article?

regards
