On certain OSes and Linux distributions RKH is able to use package
management information. Unfortunately that doesn't go for Linux
distributions that do not provide package content verification by
default. Debian can use 'debsums' but AFAIK it isn't installed by
default and it doesn't work like for instance RPM where being able
to verify package contents is an integral part of package
management as debsums generates information locally.

Superfluous I'm sure but I also would like to remind all anyway
that no tool should be responsible for assessing system integrity
alone IMHO: check out Samhain, Aide or even tripwire.
