On certain OSes and Linux distributions RKH is able to use package management information. Unfortunately that doesn't go for Linux distributions that do not provide package content verification by default. Debian can use 'debsums' but AFAIK it isn't installed by default and it doesn't work like for instance RPM where being able to verify package contents is an integral part of package management as debsums generates information locally. Superfluous I'm sure but I also would like to remind all anyway that no tool should be responsible for assessing system integrity alone IMHO: check out Samhain, Aide or even tripwire.
