John and all,
Error in relating what this plain ascii text was. Log shows as unknown
filetypes.
No specific file just the folder /dev containing them, search shows
nothing as well.
These may be leftover fragments of a removed pulse audio system or some
other media software, best guess.
Searching online found little or just garbled installation failure
mentions for various media software.
Found a number of related posts on /dev/intramfs, /dev/static; /dev/udev
and /dev/java which helped with some other warnings.

Was also wondering on consensus for whitelisting these folders?

Using 1.3.6 from the stable Debian under Ubuntu 8.04
