Anna Most of these are warnings which occur when you update various software packages and your operating system. They are neither false-positive or an indication something is wrong, it shows Rkhunter is performing it's tasks. However, some of these warnings will remain even after you perform the --propupd suggested by Rkhunter. You may need to "White List" the following items listed as warnings, each Liunux system has a different set of these: Warning: Suspicious file types found in /dev: /dev/.sysconfig/network/started-remotefs: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/ifup-eth0: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/if-eth0: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/config-eth0: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/ifup-lo: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/if-lo: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/config-lo: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/started: ASCII text /dev/.sysconfig/network/new-stamp-2: ASCII text > Warning: Hidden directory found: '/dev/.sysconfig'
