Thanks. I've been using 1.4.3 for over two years, may have used a CVS at least
once before and never noticed that.

In any case, I've successfully used it with OS X 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 with no
issues.

But a word of warning to other users. It's always been my practice to compare
the new rkhunter.conf file with the previous version to see if I need to make
any adjustments to my settings. But this time there are hundreds of changes,
almost all of which are cosmetic in nature to better explain an option or to
conform with recent changes to the use of quote marks and delimiters. So this
time I'm going to have to trust that the substantial changes are limited to the
ones you listed in your announcement.

I do recognize that a lot of work went into this update and appreciate all your
effort.

I regret seeing that the 'apps' test has been disabled, but I understand why
that is. I found it to be quite useful in past years since Apple provides most
of such 3rd party apps as a convenience to developers, so only keeps the ones
actually used by the OS current. I realize keeping track of even a small
number of these processes in order to know when there are serious issues with a
particular version is time consuming and will require a new volunteer to take
that on. Unfortunately I'm over-committed with my current work-load and that's
unlikely to improve any time soon. So I'll make an appeal once again to others
reading this that if you are interested in contributing, that's one area that
could use support. The current list of processes that was last updated in 2014
is as follows:

httpd
sshd
exim
php
gpg
named
procmail
proftpd
openssl

I'm sure that other vulnerable processes could be added.
