how did you install RKWard? if you are combining CRAN versions of R with older
versions of ubuntu, you must install a version of RKWard that was copiled for
your particular R version.
to make this easier, we are offering this PPA repository:
https://launchpad.net/~rkward-devel/+archive/ubuntu/rkward-stable-cran
