Hi, I like the Settigns-Rkward window very much... Good work Thomas.
Working: 1. setwd() updates the statusbar text... Wishlist: 1. on the "R-Backend" tab of Settings dialog, it would be nice to have a tooltip which shows the R command that wold be used to set these options. 2. Default height (number of lines) of the R Console needs to be a little more. It is just four lines now. In kde3 it is other extreme. And here are few of the bugs: Should I put them in TODO-KDE4 as you had said in your first mail? Major: 1. Closing rkward while either file system browser or the workspace browser is open crashes rkward, though it doesn't hang. 2. ALL Import/Export (and all other plugins?) leads to segfault and core dump crash, does not hang. 3. Inputting data using Dataset editor hangs rkward.. 4. Here is a funny one: (KDE4 bug?) Open R Script File > click on Config button (spanner/wrench icon) on the file open dialog > check Show Hidden files > uncheck Show Hidden files -- OR press F8 twice -- BOOM crash... Minor: 1. Closing the main window before the "R engine is idle" (ie the indicator is still yellow) crashes rkward. 2. The X icon for closing a tab (Ctl-W action) in the document browser is unavailable 3. Extra newline "\n" being printed in R Console after every command 4. Modifying the checkboxes (Show hidden objects, Show all env) in the Workspace tab of Settings dialog should immediately affect the Workspace browser upon "Apply"ing. 5. (double) clicking on *.R file in the file system browser does not open the file in a script editor. Not worrying about the other file types at this moment. 6. The first time you open either the workspace / file system browser after starting rkward, it open only just enough so that the dragging border is visible, then you have to drag open the browser 7. Another funny one: (KDE4 bug again) If your mouse has a scroll wheel do the this: take the pointer over a scroll bar (either in Console or script editor) then scroll using the wheel... the scroll bar moves but the document does not !!! 8. Clicking on "Configure Repositories" button on the Configure Packages dialog takes you to the "R-Backend" tab on the Settings dialog. Instead it should go to the "R-Packages" tab. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
