Hi all,

here's the semi-regular KDE 4 porting status update. If you are curious, look
at this thread:
http://news.gmane.org/find-root.php?group=gmane.comp.statistics.rkward.devel&article=4

for instructions on how to build and test the KDE 4 version.

The port is now relatively clean, technically, with no direct dependency on
support code, and all major functionality in place. It even contains some few
new features, now, such as a re-designed object viewer, as discussed on this
list some weeks ago. Still some issues need to be addressed, but most
importantly, the port needs some good testing to make sure it has decent
quality, when released. Keep in mind, that there were a *lot* of changes,
internally, so new bugs are quite likely to have sneaked in.

KDE4 itself seems to be on track for a release roughly on schedule, i.e. in
mid December, or perhaps shortly after that, and if RKWard 0.5.0 is to be
released close to KDE 4.0, there is not too much time left to fix the
remaining bugs.

Note that I have not yet merged the changes in plugins since 0.4.9, but will
do so, soon. Plugins should continue to work unchanged in the KDE 4 version.

Regards
Thomas
