ok, it's not as easy as I had thought. So I gave the openSUSE build service a 
try, and after a lot of trial an error, here are some openSUSE packages: 
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=rkward&project=home%3Atfry-
suse%3ACRAN .

Note: I do not have a suse system to test these packages on. All I know is 
that the build process succeeded. Of course this also means that I am not 
exactly the ideal maintainer for these packages. So if anybody on this list is 
using (open)SUSE, consider adopting the packages (and if you haven't tried, 
yet: the openSUSE build-service is really nice and quick).
