thanks. Since the crash is this early, and in KDE code, I'm guessing at some problem with the KDE-setup, which is why I've asked. Here come some comments and blind guesses: - Now, I see that you use KDE 4.3.5 (probably from openSUSE_11.2:Updates?), while the rkward packages are compiled against KDE 4.3.1 from openSUSE_11.2. In theory this should not be a problem at all, but perhaps it is for some reason. If you have any experience with rpmbuild, could you compile the rkward .src.rpm on your system, to make sure the all library versions match those on your system? - Here's one similar bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217443 . Unfortunately without solution... - Qt might be the issue as well. Could you add your package information for libqt4? Also, perhaps the output of ldd /usr/bin/rkward.bin - Could you make sure that the directory /usr/share/kde4/apps/ exists, and that it has subdirectories rkward, and many others? Also, is /usr/share/kde4/apps among the paths listed by kde4-config --path data ? Is anybody else on this list using openSUSE? Could you give the packages a try? Regards Thomas
