I'm not sure we understand each other: I'm just saying that when you
imported French translations from Launchpad, my translations, that were
present in SVN, shouldn't have been replaced, because they were more
recent than Launchpad's. So it looks like Launchpad had not imported the
PO file correctly from SVN.

For example, this string was translated into French in my version,
committed in revision 4037:
+#: plugin/rkcomponentproperties.cpp:760
+msgid "This object has %1 dimension(s), but %2 dimension(s) is/are
expected."
+msgstr "Cet objet a %1 dimension(s), alors que %2 dimension(s) sont
attendues."

Revision 4323, which imported translations from Launchpad, removed it
altogether:
 #: plugin/rkcomponentproperties.cpp:797
 msgid "This object has %1 dimension(s), but %2 dimension(s) is/are
expected."
-msgstr "Cet objet a %1 dimension(s), alors que %2 dimension(s) sont
attendues."
+msgstr ""

This happened to several subsequent strings. Other cases are more
complex: this one was added in revision 4037 too:
 #: main.cpp:115
+msgid "Many plugins, suggestions, rkwarddev package"
+msgstr "De nombreux greffons, des suggestions, le paquet rkwarddev"

And revision 4323 did not remove it, but change it to something worse
(as rkwarddev is not mentioned, so likely and older version, but I don't
really understand since it looks like I added the msgid...), and marked
it as fuzzy:
 #: main.cpp:115
+#, fuzzy
msgid "Many plugins, suggestions, rkwarddev package"
-msgstr "De nombreux greffons, des suggestions, le paquet rkwarddev"
+msgstr "De nombreux plugins, des suggestions"

So this is food for thought... ;-)
