Thanks! Everything is working now.
Actually, the only thing I had not found and rooted out was the KDE prefs.
There was no /opt/local anymore. I knew that there was still something
lurking, though, because whenever I started RKWard, it knew where my
previous workspaces were.
Maybe KDE had kept some path information as well?
At any rate, I'm now using the exact same install as the students, so
that's ideal.
Also, thanks for fixing the levels. Beautiful!
