i can't reproduce the problem on ubuntu 13.04. the code runs fine 15+ times in 
a row here.

does this happen *only* in RKWard, or do you see it in a plain R session as 
well? if so, there's nothing much we can do, actually. some hints:

could you please carefully check your R setup, including the waveslim 
libraries? did you install those as a debian package as well (c2d4u 
repository, package r-cran-waveslim) or via install.packages()? can there be 
leftovers from a previous installation somewhere else?
