hi all,

build 22 is out! build 22 is significant from a technical standpoint
because i have rebuilt the kernel [using 2.4.0-test10], kde2 [using
post-2.0 cvs], and key software packages [like pcmcia, isdn, modutils,
etc.] from source. again, a lot of changes under the hood.

notes:

- install from floppy will probably not probe hardware correctly. major
design flaw in the install floppy, i need to figure out how to get
around it.

- install from cd will not load pcmcia drivers correctly. minor flaw in
the install routine, easily corrected after installation.

- the desktop is pretty stable now, next build will have finished the
menus on the desktop. woohoo! after beta 2 comes the value-added stuff
[config utils, update utils, enhanced functionality, etc.]

- a vga16 install option was added for i810 users. it should help you
install, but not necessarily use, redmond linux 8-). if you have an
i810, i am *really* interested in what happens when you install redmond
linux. please email me.

- unless i [or you!] find major bugs, next build [build 23] will be
declared beta 2.

- cd's will be going out in the mail tomorrow.

- my birthday is saturday. wish me happy birthday!

thanks!
