RL uses ext3 (a journeling file system).  It doesn't matter how you've got
your Mandrake partitions formatted, RL will format ext3 partitions for its
own use.  Also, if Mandrake is using a current version of the kernel, it
should support ext3 partitions, as well - regardless of a default to ReiserFS.
