I have some questions relating to upgrading RL and installing new (KDE) apps.

If I want to install a new KDE app, I'm assuming that I can download an RPM
or tgz file and install it accordingly. Where will the entry for this
application appear in RL's KDE menu? I'm a little confused on this matter, as
RL has its own menu-ing system, if I can generalise it like that.

Also what is the required "prefix" for KDE apps in RL? For example, with
Mandrake, when I compile a KDE app, I use ./configure --prefix=/usr. What is
the equivalent for RL?

Is it possible to install Redhat/Mandrake v. 7/8 RPMs?

There are a number of extra apps that I install, including KDE, Gnome and
"other X" apps. For the KDE apps, will RL provide RPMs on their website that
are specifically compiled for RL?

Will RL provide a download for Gnome libraries so that Gnome apps can be
installed into RL?

Sorry if this is too many questions in one email.

Thanks
Mike
