I'm not sure if this will help but on my system the Autorun CD thing in the system tray doesn't like me anymore and refuses to work. I ran gkrellm system monitor and sometimes that booger will hog up 99 % of the cpu processes grinding my system to a total bog down. I killed that sucker and my RL is back to being snappy. - -- rl-users list.
