Texstar from www.pclinuxonline.com has some speed optimized rpms and other goodies too. Use kpackage to update. Open in system management then more system programs then manage packages. Now when thats up click on settings then configure desktop. After that hit the refresh icon thats the circle arrows one and you'll see all your new choices. Select them with a check and download all at once. You probably don't want the devel ones though.
