I'm trying to compile a new kernel for Redmond Linux so that I can
incorporate support for Win4Lin and the modules it needs. I've compiled the
kernel several times with both gcc 3.0.2 and 2.95, but am encountering a
strange error. When I select the new kernel through the grub boot loader,
the screen freezes while saying "Loading the Redmond Linux kerbel... please
wait".

My guess is that I'm missing something in my kernel build that Redmond Linux
needs (frame_buffer drivers, a certain module, etc). Has anyone
successfully compiled a new kernel for Redmond Linux or gotten Win4Lin to
run in it?

Thanks!
Chris
