My parallel port zip drive was not installed correctly by v. 43, I have added ppa to /etc/modules/defaults, as the last entry. ppa is loaded at startup, but the zip drive won't mount.
I tried mounting it as /dev/sda4 but get "is not a block device". The zip drive is connected directly to the parallel port and the printer is daisy chained to the zip. I read in the Zip drive how-to that you need to load ppa before lpr. Where is lpr? Or is there something else that needs setting up? Thanks, Marcus - -- rl-users list.
