OK, this is a rookie question, but when I go to install new software, I
keep running across these two problems. First, when I'm in the expanded
folder from the tar.gz file and tell it to configure, it gives me the error:
bash:configure: No such file or directory
I've found a way to work around this by pasting the direct path into the
command line, but the other problem is that I keep getting errors that
there is no compatible cc on the system. I'm guessing that's the
c-compiler, so how do I get it to work?

Thanks!

Fabian
