Unix AIX Admin
Descrierea postului:
- To provide level 1 and level 2 system administration and technical support
- Installation and maintenance of Unix servers (AIX);
- Installation, configuration and maintainance of WebSphere Application Server
on
AIX platforms;
- Security hardening and patching of Unix servers;
- Server performance monitoring and tuning;
- Management and timely completion of help desk tickets;
- Configuration change co-ordination and execution;
- Problem investigation, resolution, reporting and compliance;
- Interfaces with hardware and software support vendors
Cerinte:
- Thorough knowledge of RAID / SAN disk subsystems
- Understanding of Backup strategies and disaster recovery
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information
Systems
or equivalent work experience
- Minimum two years of experience in managing an 24x7 environment consisting of
multiple servers (AIX preferably)
- Experience with Linux operating system and batch scripting in BASH/KSH/CSH
- Solid experience with state-of-the-art data and system recovery concepts and
products such as IBM`s Tivoli Storage Manager and HACMP
- Proven tech
nical problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of English language is a must
