Dar daca dai telnet localhost 631 merge? Sigur nu folosesti vreun proxy in browser sau nu ai vreun firewall care sa intre in actiune pe portul 631 chiar si cind browsezi via lo? In principiu regulile de acces le stabilesti din cupsd.conf (la mine e in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf), si by default te lasa de pe local.
