Some of the features:
* auto-configures the interface
- you can leave the interface in DHCP mode
- it takes over the interface only if it is connected to the czone network
(great if you take your laptop to different networks)
* detects link status
- suspending/resuming a laptop and plugging/unplugging the cable works
if you are using NetworkManager (or anything else that starts/stops dhclient
automatically when the link status changes)
* configurable logging (syslog etc.)
