We are currently looking for a Unix System Administrator with the following requirements: · Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree · 2 years of experience with installation, configuration and administration of Linux-based OS. · Specific skills: SQL, Shell, XML, Ant · Working experience with Oracle Databases (execution plans, indexes, triggers and internal DB-organization) · Exposure to software versioning tools: Bugzilla, Subversion · Acquainted to large scale Java-based applications and Java-builds Because this position requires daily interaction with the customer, very good English and German skills are essential. · Use of an incident/change management system · PERL, Log4J, Maven and Hudson build-tool · Exposure to ITIL-processes · Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.25 You will be responsible of: · Execution of database scripts, updates, database performance analysis for a Java web-based application currently under development for a German Telecommunications Company · Software Deployment on various machines taking into account release dependencies · Configuration of updates and creation/extension of ANT scripts Available to travel for at least 3 months in Frankfurt for training purposes.
