M-am apucat sa testez cu bonnie rata de transfer cu diferite
filesystem-uri. Folosesc tot timpul aceeasi partitie.
Hardware: 2* PIII 1000, chipset ServerWorks, 256 Ram (ca sa pot testa :)
), Ami Megaraid (pci64, 64Mb Ram), raid-5 cu 4 IBM 10000 rpm,
stripe=64kb.
Soft: bonnie -s 1512

Eroarea e de +- 1M. Pe xfs obtin din cand in cand la seq. in. doar
~21000 in loc de ~35000. Celelalte sunt destul de constante.
ext2 - formatat cu block de 4096
xfs - sunit=128,swidth=128 (asta ar trebui sa corespunda la un stripe
de 64k)
reiserfs - cu hash r5
kernele:
xfs - 2.4.2+xfs feb 23 20001
reiserfs - 2.4.2 + reiserfs patch (bug fix) + knfsd reiser patch
Kernelul 2.2.15 e fara smp (un debian default, de pe un cd vechi).
O sa incerc niste teste si cu bonnie++.
