SMC rocks pe parte de Gbit. Nu pot zice asta despre intel
(cele facute de Compaq sau de IBM) care sug groaznic si costa 
cu mult mai mult decat dublu la SMC. BTW, sunt PCI64?
Apoi catalystul ala e batranel... tine backplane-ul
la doua ping flooduri de pe un module pe altul ? Ce packet
rate scoate? 

In plus Gigabit EtherChannel imi baga niste delayuri cretine
de tip "dinti de fierastrau" in reprezentare grafica
(la cam fiecare al 11-lea pachet apare un delay de cateva zeci de ms
care scade greu cam in 3-4 pachete). Si in al treilea rand mi se pare
o tampenie ideea de computer legat pe gigabit, mai degraba faci
un etherchannel pe 2-4 adaptere de 100 pt ca nu te tin hardurile la
cam 128Mbytes/sec nici impuscat :) Orice LVD decent tine cam 35Mbytes/sec.


Uite, daca vrei cifre (urmeaza ceva lung si plicticos :( ) poti
sa iti dai seama ca nu zic chiar tampenii...
Daca are cineva niste statistici de lvd-uri in raid hardware
(al meu e soft deocamdata) care sa dea mai bine decat cele
din soft il rog frumos sa mi le dea.
