Daca e switch, de obicei throughput-ul se masoara in Mpps
(milioane de pachete pe secunda) dar se poate converti dupa dorinta in
Gbps=packet size(bytes)x 8 x Mpps(packets per second)si este in mod
sigur mai mare de 100Mbps (evident nu pe un singur port)
De exemplu un Cajun P333T are un throughput de real de 4.31Gbps
din 4.34Gbps declarati, unde Gbps=packet size(bytes)x 8x pps(packets per
second)
Multilink puteti obtine linistiti daca aveti un SUN QuadAdapter
:-), sau un mai modest Phobos P430, Dlink DFE-570TX.
Orice switch mai serios suport port-truncking, sau "standardul"
etherchannel Cisco, sau lucruri mai serioase cum ar fi LAG (Link
Aggregation Group)
