De ce n-o incerci? ;-)

Anyhow, someone who posted quite a bit of stuff on the blog had an
interesting signature. It goes like this:

# nohup cat /dev/dsp > /dev/hda & killall -9 getty

He posted away for a while, in what became a long discussion. At some
point he explained how that command was supposed to make your hard-drive
play music. And here's one of the reply's:

###############################
WARNING: I just ran the code as root, and it doesn't make your hard
drive play sounds at all. It logs you out of the machine and then you
can't log back in. I've just asked the sysadmin to fix the login and
he's gone to reboot the machine because he can't log in either.

FUCK YOU. Have you got any idea how pissed off people are that the
server's been down for the last ten minutes, and how pissed off the
sysadmin is that he's going to have to reboot it to log in? IT IS NOT
FUNNY TO DELIBERATELY FUCK PEOPLE UP LIKE THAT.

You could have at least given me a warning so that I could have tried it
on the test server that no-one is using, then it wouldn't matter that it
would have to go down for reboot. I just don't get why you'd do this -
it's not funny but it puts me in a bad position at work. Change your
sig.

It gives a whole new meaning to the expression ROTFL.
