Corect, fara "evil binaries" :) ai incercat cpan, aka
perl -MCPAN -e "install Net::SSLeay" ?
"perl -MCPAN -e shell" pe viitor shi vezi pe-acolo multe bunatatzi.
Daca e nasoala treaba shi nu iese nicicum :) prolly ai binare 
satisfacatoare pentru distroul tau, de pe siteuri de pachete rpm 
(freshrpms, rpmfindnet, etc), sau de la maintaineri independentzi.
Pe un deb e mai simplu, ca tot ziceai de newbies,
apt-get install `apt-cache search Net::SSLeay |awk '{print $1}'`
