Pana acum, am folosit acest modem de cablu Motorola
SB5100 pe USB (n-am 2 placi ethernet) in
2.4.23-selinux1, cu modulul CDCEther.o si a mers
foarte bine ca eth1.
In 2.6.6, (care la mine nu merge compilat decat cu
optiunea O=/caleacatresursa, pentru ca am vrut sa-mi
pastrez sursa de 2.4.23 si symlink-ul /usr/src/linux
neatinse) nu mai e modul separat pentru CDCEther, ci e
o optiune la modulul usbnet.ko, creat ca g_ether.ko
Kernelul nu vede decat eth0 (unde am un Realtek 8139
conectat la retea). Am incercat sa introduc modulul
manual cu modprobe si apoi cu insmod. g_ether.ko nu
merge deloc, iar la usbnet.ko modprobe spune ca nu
exista, iar insmod ramane blocat.
Foloseste cineva cu succes SB5100 pe 2.6.X?

poate mi-a scapat ceva de care aveam nevoie.
