Salut,
Urmarind partea cu schedullers de la threadul 2.4 vs 2.6, am hotarat sa
imi upgrade 2.6.5-ul de pe masina de acasa la 2.6.6, pentru a testa
schedullerul CFQ.
Placa de baza a masinii este un Gigabyte cu 865G, dual chan memory, fsb
800, etc... Hard disk-ul este un Maxtor de 60G la 7200rpm.
Am compilat noul kernel (2.6.6), am instalat, lilo, reboot. Stupoare.
Apar erori legate de harddisk/controller IDE:

A mai intalnit cineva problema asta? Mentionez inca odata ca merge f.
bine cu 2.6.5. Configuratia pentru 2.6.6 am luat-o cu
zcat /proc/config.gz >.config, dupa ce am executat make mrproper
pe /usr/src/linux (da, e symlink catre directorul cu 2.6.6). Kernel-ul
testat este vanilla, luat de pe mirror de la ftp.linux.ro.
