LPI offers the most unbiased cert, IMHO. The RHCE probably has the most
cachet, though, since it's the most recognizable distro to suits and
(most) hiring managers. SAIR makes money by selling classes and training
materials for its cert, which appears to be a conflict of interest because
(unlike Red Hat) they don't claim to be a vendor certification, and so
shouldn't have any "special knowledge" to sell.
All of the certs have their own problems. Warts and all, though, I'd
recommend LPI for general Linux certification, and Red Hat for a distro
cert. And yes, I'm a little prejudiced on the subject, since I have the
LPI cert myself. :)
