Majordomo is excelling at becoming more and more arcane from what I have
seen. Mailman is nice, but is almost getting too feature heavy. There
is also smartlist which is part of the procmail package. And Dan
Bernstein has written ezmlm which interfaces with qmail.

This list used to be run on ezmlm+qmail now we're mailman+qmail. I
hacked up a script for RLUG.org so that I don't have to make new aliases
when I create a new list. I have similar configs for exim. This makes
it really easy to make a new list because instead of,

  1) Run newlist for the list,
  2) Create a number of aliases in /etc/aliases or .qmail files,

all I have to do is step 1. This works out well because I am lazy and
you have to normally make about 5 aliases for each list.

ObJWZRant: JWZ doesn't like Mailman (http://www.jwz.org/doc/mailman.html),
which is not surprising because there doesn't seem to be much that he
does like.
