All I need is a HiAv Samba share. I'm not looking for load balancing, scalability, or
anything too tricky.

What 'kind' of cluster are you after? HiAv, Out-of-box scalability, Compute
Intensive? I'd assume HiAv since you are considering Kimberlite. I am not aware of
anyone running it for enterprise clustering... but then again.. I don't know of anyone
running linux for enterprise HiAv clustering. Most of my linux customers are running
compute clusters.

thinking of using a Linux/Kimberlite solution for my mission-critical cluster, but I
don't want to buy Red Hat Enterprise server. I'm thinking just the standard RH9
distro, and I install Kimberlite myself. Thoughts?
