That's the first thing I suspected, but no love.  All hosts I've
checked, functioning and otherwise, return the same IP:
192.18.97.204.

Even more frustrating is the following:

The above failed attempts occured on my Debian box, serving as
router/firewall, and from which all outgoing connections are
allowed by said firewall.

However, attempts to open an HTTP connection from a NAT'd OpenBSD
box in the subnet administered by the Debian system SUCCEED!
This would suggest to me a firewall issue, but I'll be damned if
I can think of how.

Any thoughts?
