Actually, having had SBC's base DSL service for about a year, I can say that I had frequent disconnect problems, and numerous routing and connection speed issues with them, I don't know that they're *directly* related to PPPoE, but having been with other providers in other cities that didn't use PPPoE, I can say for certain that I didn't have those problems there.....Gripe: You get disconnected all the time. Response: Really? I've maintained a connection for weeks, sometimes months at a time. And any pppoe client worth its weight will try to automatically connect. RF
