Just to recap my understanding of the problem:
The modem MAC ADX is registered with ISP
Standalone box gets DynAddr successfully from modem via ISP
Router cannot get lease from modem via ISP
A few checks come to mind:
- router should not be configured as a MAC ADX Clone
- connection from modem is to the router's WAN interface
- WAN interface is configured for DHCP (can you verify this is getting a lease?)
- router is configured for NAT and DHCP to LAN clients

It's a Linksys WAP router combo (4 port switch) with built in DHCP server. The modem is also a linksys cable modem, but the cable modem gets its IP info over the cable line via DHCP. -Pete _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
