Tim,

That would be awesome. Let me fill you in on what I have exactly:

I have a Giga-byte GA-7N400 Pro2 (Rev 2.0) with the nForce2 Ultra400
chipset (http://tinyurl.com/3eb89).

The onboard ethernet is based on the Realtek 8110S Gigabit chipset, and
the sound is based on the Realtek ALC650/655 chipset.

I tried to build the nforce driver for my RealTek 8110S using both a
ebuild and a Nvidia's zip file, but it failed to build on both. I am
using a $5 Realtek 10/100 card from CompUSA in the mean time.

I have support for the ALSA intel8x0/ac97 modules compiled into the
kernel, but lsmod reveals that module insn't being used, and there are
no entries in /dev/sound/.

What do you think?
