Jeff Elpern will talk about the Open Source Nevada community he is forming =

www.osnv.org. This talk will include a summary of the group's efforts in
education, non-profits and economic development.=20
In addition Jeff will introduce the NevadiX cd OSNV is distributing (a
version of Knoppix). Some will be available for to distribution at the
meeting.
There will also be the obligatory topic tangents, as well as Q&A and
General Discussion time.
[I personally plan on bringing up the topic of encrypted
volumes/filesystems. -Tim]
As always afterward we'll head over somewhere for beer, food, merriment,
and chat.
THE "WHY" PART

The objective of a Linux User Group is to provide a focal point for the
local Linux community to discuss aspects of the Linux operating system,
provide educational services regarding Linux, maintain a list of Linux
savvy consultants, and to provide a social environment for Linux users
to meet and exchange ideas.
